About Pirelli
Founded in 1872, Pirelli is among the largest global tyre makers, and focuses its business on the high end, premium product segment where it is a world leader. Present in over 160 countries, Pirelli has 22 manufacturing sites and employs approximately 38,000 people around the world. Successfully competing in motorsports since 1907, Pirelli is currently the exclusive supplier of the Formula 1 championship, the FIM Superbike world championship, and many other championships around the world. Pirelli also supply homologated racing product to the Australian Superbike Championship.
The Pirelli range caters for all segments of the motorcycling market with performance tyres suited to motocross, enduro, trials, adventure, scooter, cruiser, commuter, touring, sport touring, sports and racing bike applications. These include the Number 1 for mileage Angel GT, new Scorpion MX 32 MID/HARD and Diablo Rosso Scooter, Angel Scooter ranges, Diablo Rosso III tyres, plus the Rally STR and Scorpion Trail II for adventure motorcycles.
As a reflection of their quality and high performance, Pirelli is the Original Equipment Supplier for a number of prestigious bike manufacturers such as Aprilia, Ducati, Honda, BMW, MV Agusta, KTM and Husqvarna. Pirelli is also the exclusive supplier of tyres for the World Superbike Championship now extended through to 2020.
Pirelli has a long history of outstanding success in a range of racing disciplines. As recent as 2017, for example, Pirelli Scorpion MX riders have won the premier World MX1 World Championship and also MX2 World Championships which brings their MX World Championships up to an impressive 68 titles. In Australia Pirelli has taken out the MX Nationals Open Championship and Super X Championship double with Matt Moss in 2013 and 2014, as well as winning the MX Nationals Pro Lites with Jay Wilson inn 2015. In Superbike racing since 2015 Pirelli has won the Australian Superbike Champion using Pirelli Diablo Superbike tyres. 2017 sees the launch of the much anticipated Diablo Rosso Scooter and Angel Scooter ranges and well as the Scorpion MX32 Mid/Hard for MX and Scorpion Rally STR for adventure bikes. Pirelli is the Official Tyre of the MX Nationals, BEARS Racing, VRRC, Motorcycle Sportsmen of QLD and WA State Championships, and is also the Official Tyre partner of the Australian Superbike Championship.
